Brendan started hosting trivia in 2014 in Boston for a company called “Pop Quiz,” run by New England trivia legend Michael O’Neill. He founded Lucky Guess in 2020, running a weekly virtual game for his friends and family over Zoom. After a (very) brief stint as a Jeopardy champion, he decided to take the games he had written and bring the Lucky Guess format into some bars & restaurants around LA.  5 years and thousands of questions later, Lucky Guess is now the fastest growing pub trivia company in the world (please do not fact check this, as there is no evidence to back it up). 

Outside of hosting trivia, Brendan is a writer, actor, and comedian. He was one of the filmmakers behind two award-winning short films – Cloneliness & Red – that each took home the top prize at the 48-Hour Film Festival in Los Angeles. He is also one half of the team behind “Dear John,” an improvised web series about people’s bathrooms.
